Frances Jasiura
Frances Jasiura, BSW, BPHE, has designed and delivered training sessions on Motivational Interviewing (MI) in Western Canada since 1993. She taught Addiction Counselling Training courses at Okanagan College campuses for 15 years. In north Okanagan, she spearheaded and co-facilitated the Women’s D.E.W. addiction day treatment program for 10 years, logging over 5,000 hours in group facilitation.
Frances is a contributing author in the upcoming text MI and Groups. She has 5 years experience in community development and prevention. In 1993, she co-authored Towards Effective Youth Treatment; a Primer for the Kootenay Communities. She has presented at provincial, national and international levels.
She is an active member of the International Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and is passionate about personal growth, empowering conversations, and authentic, caring communities.
